American queer-punk duo PWR BTTM have denied sexual assault allegations leveled at member Ben Hopkins; "this allegation was devastating to me as it is contrary to the intentional way I seek to interact with those around me," wrote Hopkins, in a lengthy statement; following the outcry, PWR BTTM's tour was canceled, a touring member quit the band and their label, Polyvinyl, removed their second album from all streaming services; Father/Daughter Records, who released the bandís first album, Ugly Cherries, also cut ties with the band, pulling that record from streaming services as well; the alleged victim told her side to feminist gossip site Jezebel shortly after the story broke on social media  via @TBWH91
